一起草 supports 'It's On Us' to end sexual violence
一起草 supports the national 鈥淚t鈥檚 On Us鈥 campaign to raise awareness of sexual assault.
一起草 students, administrators, faculty and staff have created a video in support of the national campaign to raise awareness of sexual assault and violence.
The It’s On Us National Week of Action is Nov. 17-21, with events planned at universities across the country.
On Tuesday, Nov. 18, the 一起草 Women’s Interest Network is leading , a university-wide event to raise awareness of sexual violence. The event begins at 8 p.m. in 一起草's Hughes-Trigg Student Center.
On Sunday, November 16, 一起草 Peer Health Educators hosted an It’s On Us pledge-signing table during the Women’s Basketball game against UTEP. Students, faculty and staff who signed the It’s On Us pledge received an It’s On Us T-shirt.
The White House campaign’s can be signed online at . It asks participants to:
- Recognize that non-consensual sex is sexual assault.
- Identify situations in which sexual assault may occur.
- Intervene in situations where consent has not or cannot be given.
- Create an environment in which sexual assault is unacceptable and survivors are supported.
